Class Exercise - Introduction to Design Thinking

In class, we partnered with a classmate and first thought up ideas on how to design a better wallet. Afterwards, we asked our partners questions about themselves by examining their wallets. With our findings and our final design sketched, we then quickly put together a mockup of our concept and presented it to the class. Below is the design I came up with in response to my partner's feedback. From my partner's feedback, she informed me that she walked a lot and liked comfortability. So my solution was to provide her with a sweater or jacket that had large pockets for her hands to keep her warm, and in addition to have a pocket with a zipper on top of where the pocket is so that she has a place to put her money and credit cards. This also helps keep her belongings safe since it's in front of her and gives her easy access to it's next to her hands. This helped maintain her comfortability in keeping her warm for SF weather and solved her problem of keeping a safe place to keep her belongings.

For my problem, I informed my partner that I usually have a problem of losing my wallet around the house or when I prepare to pack to leave, I place my wallet into my backpack, and then have trouble searching for it among my books and binders. So my partner's solution for me was to make a wallet with a strap that way I could wrap it around my waist, place it around my chest in front of me, and also the strap had a clip that I can attach to the outside handle of my backpack and when I wanted to retrieve my wallet from my backpack, I only had to pull the strap and I would be able to find my wallet much faster. This solved my problem by keeping my wallet more secure with me to prevent loss and also helped me to find my wallet faster.
